My name is Ashley. I am a 27 year old Australian girl.
I currently study ancient history at university, but soon will by changing my major to Japanese Studies. I love ancient history, but I think I would be happier with Japanese Studies. My interest area is in Japanese history, particularly around the time before the Meiji Era and with the Shinsengumi! There aren't many books on this period in English, and I hope I can change that (that is my dream!). I have not been to Japan yet, but I plan to within the next year - I wish to visit Kyoto and Tokyo!

- I am looking for: I am looking for a friend, who I can exchange emails with. I really need to improve my Japanese language skills, which have lacked over the years. I would just like a nice person to talk to, who is around my age and if they have the same interest as me. Then, that would be fantastic.
